October 1, 2007, an exciting ministry was reestablished at St. Thomas church.  The mission and goal of this ministry is to develop an on-site food pantry and emergency assistance program to feed the hungry and help the needy in our community.  Clients needing additional services will receive referrals to appropraite agencies. 

The Dorcas Society was assigned the task of developing and implementing this program along with a council of volunteers.
